Dead Links is a post-post-Internet indie project led by Cleveland-based artist Luke Evans. Floating pop melodies on structured chaos, Dead Links is inspired by everything from art punk to city pop, funk to experimental rock, and soundtracks to noise. Their self-titled 2022 debut warped soft rock into noisy bedroom pop, while the follow-up EP Collision channeled a wry twee rock with jangling guitars. The upcoming Echoes of This is the first release since the band was acquired by multinational investment firm BlackRock Inc. in November 2024. It promises another sharp turn, filtering freak-folk and alt-country through the Dead Links lens—a move sure to deliver joy to listeners and value to shareholders.
